If you weren't able to buy any LE or Antidote before, you can still play with them without the need for links.

Just go into the respective shops and you can click on them. Even though the price comes up, you can't buy them. It just comes up with an out-of stock message. Even so , it's fun to play with them.

Also, using the search function you can also try on the older LE and antidote items.

Free top for superstars

I don't know how long this will last, but at the moment there is a free top for superstars only in the starplaza.

Go to the 'new' section, and on page three in the middle on the bottom row there is a free Ruffle Front Top from the Starplaza Archive. I think it's a cute top, and would probably buy it even if it wasn't free.

Go and get it now if you're superstar because this glitch won't last for long!

Free Beret

This is only for people in the UK, so if you are from elsewhere, you will have to use a UK proxy. To celebrate Saint Andrews Day, the patron saint of Scotland, Stardoll has released a free plaid beret competition.

New Scenery

In the scenry design place, there is a new scenery. It is called 'Winter Holiday - Mall' so I'm guessing that there will be other winter-themed sceneries, like in previous years.

There are lots of items from this theme, and you can create some amazing-looking Christmas trees as there are lots of decorations and trees to use. It's starting to get very Christmassy on Stardoll, even thought it's still November.

Free Eid items

To get a free purple dress and flower hanging thing just go to THIS link, make a scenery and click enter. When you go back to your suite, both items should be in gift boxes.

These free things are because it is the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha, which is celebrated this year from the 27th - 30th November.

I I just adore this suite! It is simply amazing! I love how she did the sideways room! I think the golden tree fit in perfectly with the whole Christmas look. I loved how she used the new DKNY dress, and bag. The medoll puts the touches on the portrait. I think it is amazingly breathtaking, the glow of her pale skin gives the look amazingly golden. Free Purple Dress

New DKNY collection

The new DKNY Fall '09 collection is out in the Starplaza! The tag line for this collection is 'New York Girl On the Go' and this suits it perfectly. The collection is full of sophisticated dresses, skirts, bags, belts and shoes.

The collection is full of reds, golds and greens - very Christmassy. There are beautiful dresses in gorgeous styles and the shoes. I adore these shoes, there are very classy pumps, boots and shoes to match any outfit.

I love the green and grey Two Tone scarf, 12sd, the red Double Breasted Coat, 22sd, and the Gold Detailed Leather Satchel, 12sd. The headbands in three different colours, all 8sd are also a cute way to accessorise an outfit.

As always, everything is for superstars only, and quite expensive. However, if you can wait until the sale comes, everything will be half-price!

Soirée

If you look at your page, below your chat you will see a small 'Gift-O-Meter' bar. This is to measure the amount of stardolars you spend this weeked (27th - 29th November). Depending on how much you spend, you will get gifts.

It will be easy to get at least two gifts, even if you have no money, through the play and earn. Just buy two things and you will get a bag and a red bow top. I love every single one of the gifts, but especially the interior. However, you have to spend a huge 200sd in a weekend to get it. I think I'll probably get up to gift 3 as I don't really spend much.

What do you think of the Soirée Gifts? Is it just a way for stardoll to make us spend money?

New DOT collection

In the starplaza, you will see a new collection of DOT. Don't worry, it's not repleacing the old one, it's just more colours.

This collection is inspired by Christmas as the colours have names like 'Tinsel Gold', 'Winter Blue', 'Velvet Red' and 'Candle Light'. I don't think that some of the colours would work as make-up, particularly 'Candle Light', the pale yellow. However, I do like the 'Velvet Red', a dark maroon and 'Cocoa', a soft brown.

Hopefully, these colours will be released in Dorée as dyes, as I think they would look better as hair colour rather than make-up.

Free Christmas Tree

When I logged onto stardoll today, I found a lovely surprise. There was a free Christmas Tree, a gold one for superstars and a green one for non-superstars.

As I'm superstar, I coud have either, and I almost chose the green one, but as I've already got a green one in my suite, I chose the gold one. Both are beautiful, and I prefer the star on the green one to the one on the gold one. I think that it's nice of stardoll to give something to non-superstars for once.

This truly proves that Christmas is coming!

BFF Code of Conduct Finished

After 10 days, the Code of conduct has finally finished. If you agree to all of them,you will get a free gift.

I'm not really sure what the gift is, I think it's a charm, but it could be anything. Whatever it is, I don't think that it's very good gift, but it's free, so go and get it now.

Most of the points are what you would obvious and what you would expect, be polite and don't tell anyone your password etc. Others are trying to stop scamming by saying not to expect anything in return for buying from people's starbazaar.

Miss Sixty Sale

If you go to the Miss Sixty shop, in the starplaza, you will see that the Spring/Summer collection is on sale.

There are lots of great bargains to be had, and even though it is still quite expensive, 50% off is very good, and now lots of the dress and other pieces are more reasonablely priced than before. So go and get some cheap Miss Sixty now, and expect to see it in the Starbazaar soon!

DKNY sale!

In the starplaza there is a sale on both of DKNY collections. As with the stardoll sales, everything is half-price or more, so go and get it cheap while you can!

Hopefully this sale will make way for new a DKNY collection, as this one has been in the starplaza for ages. Unfortunately, it is only for superstars, so non superstars woon't have a chance of getting DKNY.

New Childline competition

If you look in the stardesign, you will see that there is a new shop, called "Moodi Wear - Stardesign".

I think this new shop is part of a campaign from Childline to make it wasier for kids to show how they're feeling. In the stardesign, there are four different styles of clothes, a longer sweater, a one sleeved dress, a strapless babydoll dress and a gathered asymetrical dress.

This is part of a 7 week-long competition, with each week being a different emotion, and what is meant to happen is that each week, people will design clothes for the different emotion, and if you win, people will be able to buy it in the starplaza

The styles are cute, and the reason behind this is great. Also, the prize is amazing. So what are you waiting for? Get over to the stardesign now!

Overused style?

Have you noticed this dress recently on stardoll? That's probably because there are three places you can get it; two shops and in the stardesign.

This babydoll style, with a big, ruffled skirt is an adorable style, but stardoll seems to have taken it too far and created three different patterns of it.

However all three are only for superstars. The cheapest is a plain black one by Bisou, but it is is still expensive at 13sd. The next on is more expensive by 1sd, at 14sd, but as it's in the Stardesign, you can have it in any colour or pattern you want. The Miss Sixty one is the most expensive, a huge 22sd, but it has a beautiful pattern and looks slightly different to the other two.

User content in the magazine

Ok, so this has been going on for a while, but as there has just been a new post in the magazine by one of the users of stardoll, .Marcela.. about swarovski.

.Marcela.. is the most recent writer in the magazine, and she has been posting regularly, however other users who have created posts include Matildaxxxx and Style_Magazine.

Her post is well-written and has beautiful graphics, and I think that it's great that stardoll is letting members contribute to the magazine. However, it seems a shame that many users are amazing writers, but can not post thier ideas as they are not well-known.

What do you think of user content in the magazine? Do you think that you'd be able to write for it?

Mondrian Furniture

There are thirteen new items in the suite shop to do with the Mondarian and geometric art theme, seen in Antidote and the Styled Outfits.

There are three tiles which look like the famous paintings by Piet Mondrian and a set of shelves whoch also loook like the painting. There are three tables of the same style in the three primary colours; red, blue and yellow. Also, I like the tetris mirror, the shape is great and I would love it in Real Life. There is a sofa and a lamp both in a gorgeous shade of dark purple and made up of geometric rectangles. Finally, there is a dog, lamp and plant-type sculpture. All three are made up of 3D shapes in plain, bright colours.

What do you think of this furniture? Will you be buying any?

December Hotbuys

If you look in the magazine you will see the new December Hot Buys.

I love the golden heart bag and the draped top, both of those are gorgeous, and I can already see lots of outfits incorporating them. There is a top from Kohl's which is already out, and in an earlier post about Kohls, I said I liked it. The pointed wedge boots are adorable, I really like them. I love the shape of the purple dress, it looks slightly couture.

The pink bow belt would look better if it was slightly darker, but I like it anyway, and it doesn't really go with the rest of the collection. The skirt is slightly boring, normally hotbuys are meant to be the best of stardoll, but it's just a black pencil skirt. I'm not sure about the blazer, I don't know if I like it or not, but it could look nice in some outfits.

The last two hotbuys aren't really wearable in a normal outfit, but cute for a costume. The arm warmers are a bit of fun, I like the colours but I'm not sure how you could wear them. The bunny ears are wierd, but I'm sure creative people could create amazing outfits using them for other parts of the outfit.

All in all, most of the hotbuys are cute, but three of them don't really match the theme.

First 4 Points

If you remember my earlier post about the Stardoll Code of Conduct you would have seen the first point. It has been four days since then so these are the first four.

1. Help new members. Make friends, let them ask questions and show them around.
2. Be inspiring. Don't make fun of people for not having a lot of clothes and decoration.
3. Just delete provocative mails or comments! Don't answer them.
4. Report provocative comments, then block the sender.

Geo-Mondrian Styled Outfits

The new styled outfits theme is Geo-Mondrian. This theme has modern stylings and patterns on the different pieces. The patterns are made up of rectangles, triangles and other shapes in bold colours.

I like some of the pieces in these Styled Outfits, especially the two dresses with blue on them. The necklace is also great. However, some of the shapes are slightly strange, such as the two dresses on the left. The bottom one looks slightly too long for my medoll and the top one doesn't look very flattering.

What are your opinions on this theme? Which are your favourite pieces?

New Miss Sixty

If you look in the Starplaza, you will see the new Miss Sixty Fall Collection. This collection has a lot of graphic prints on the clothes. As before, the collection is only for superstars, and is quite expensive, the cheapest pieces are 10sd and the most expensive is 24sd.

My favourite pieces are the 'Graphic Halter Dress', 22 sd and the 'Bell Sleeved Draped Jkt', 20sd. I also like the 'Layered Print Dress', 22sd. Stardoll has created lots of dresses recently in this style. The three hats, all 14sd, are great touches to an outfit.

If you look at the real life picture I've posted, you can see that the graphics are quite good, and look very similar to the real life versions. Stardoll have especially made the graphic pattern on the halterneck dress very well.

BFF code of conduct

Stardoll has created a Stardoll Code of conduct, with different 10 points to agree to. Every day for ten days you can agree to a different one and get a free gift.

This is a great idea, as Stardoll needs to do something about cyberbullying. However I'm not sure if it will actually make a difference as people may just agree to the different points to get a free gift.

What do you think of this code of Conduct? Is it a good idea and will it work?

Chat not working very well

Have you noticed this sign on your chat? It says that it isn't working perfectly.

Ever since stardoll re-designed the chat, without using the pop-up part, it hasn't been working very well. I can still chat to friends but sometime the messages don't send and you get a repetition of what you sent sent back to you.

Has any of this happened to you? What do you think of chat?

Amy Diamond Chat

Have you read the Amy Diamond Live chat? Unfortunately I was out, so couldn't send in any questions for her. However, Amy answered lots of questions form the people who were there, she even answered some of strange questions, such as:
"Would you rather be as small as an ant or as tall as a giant? Why?"

Interesting question, but it's nice to know Amy's answer:
"I would probably rather be as small as an ant :)
Because it would be too difficult to walk around if I was as tall as a giant. I'd probably just knock down buildings and step on people if I was that big :D"

Warhol styled outfits

Do you like the new Warhol styled outfits?

I love the "Drop Dead" style diamond necklace(top left, left picture), and the Dolce & Gabbana bag and shoes (bottom row, right picture).

The red-brown Doc Marten style boots (middle left, left picture) are cute, and I adore the colour of them.

I actually like all of the styled outfits, the dress (top left, right picture) is a bit over the top, but I like it, and some people could make it work.

If you've been superstar for over a year and are active you may have got an invitation to join the exclusive "Stardoll Royalty Club".

If you go to this club, you can't join unless you've got the invitation. You also get a gift at the start of every month if you are a member.

Personally I think it's harsh to the people who aren't able to buy superstar for a year, especially really active people who are non-ss.

Suite shop sale

The monthly stardoll suite shop sale has started, with some great bargains to be had! Even thought it's only for superstars, there's still some amazing deals.

I like the Chinese cabinet, and at only 3sd, it's great. The glitzy screen and the Rokoko Mirror at 3 and 4sd respectively are fabulous for adding class to your suite.

New Antidote

The new antidote collection has come out in Starplaza. It's only for Superstars (What a surprise.) and is inspired by pop artists such as Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst and Frida Kahlo.

Other artists whose work inspired the pieces are Elsa Schiaparelli, Toulouse Lautrec, Piet Mondrian, Salvador Dali, Jackson Pollock, Henri Matisse and Vincent Van Gough.

As well as clothes, shoes, ties and bags there are a selection of hangers, lights, lamps and filing cabinets. There is also a flower pin wheel which spins around and two boxes to stand on.

This collection is very colourful and the way the different pieces of art has inspired the clothes, especially the Andy Warhol pieces.

New DIY shop

A new shop has come to the starplaza, this time it's a new season of the DIY boutique. As always, the items are cheap, but you'd need a lot of them to make an outfit. Once again, all of it is for superstars only.

I like the three belts, they seem like they'd be a good finishing touch to an outfit. The patches, flowers, buttons, studs and safety pins were all for sale last time but there is only one outfit pre-made for now. There will probably be more for sale in this shop soon.

New Kohl's clothes

The new season of Kohl's clothes has come out. I love the Kohl's clothing, it's cheap, cute and available to non-superstars. I especially love this season of clothes, from the decorations in the shops it seems to be the Winter clothes, with jumpers, coats and long sleeves prominent in all the collections. Also, many of the clothes have a plaid pattern to them.

Abbey Dawn: The clothes are cute, but slightly too dark for my liking. My favourites are the black and pink "Music Tee," 7sd and the White "Skull Crossbones Tee", 9sd. I also like the necklace and the leopard print dress. I also love the decorations in this shop and hope they'll be sold in the suite shop.

Candies: It seems to have matured this season, with a suit-stylem plaid outfit and a houndstooth coat. I like the two pairs of skinnies, 7 and 8sd best. This is my least favourite out of the three shops, and although there are some nice pieces, I don't really like it.

Mudd: This is my favourite shop out of the three, the colours are more natural and muted. I like the hat and the "Shirred Plaid Tunic". There are two different styles in the shape of the tunic, as there was last season aswell.

If you look in the search function, you can still find some of last season's Kohl's clothes so buy them before they go!

Free Tinkerbell Stuff

Stardoll is really trying to advertise the tinkerbell video game as there's two free Tinkerbell items for your suite. There's a free lamp and a pillow, and two curtains, another lamp and another pillow.

For me, living in the UK, there isn't a shop, it's only for people in the USA. You have to go to the "most popular" section of the Suite Shop, where there is curtain. Then click on the Tinkerbell shop name (where the red circle is on my picture), and you will be taken to the Tinkerbell shop where you can buy the free stuff and other stuff if you want.

New Dolls and Games section

If you look on the Dolls & Games Page, you can see a new section called Sponsored Dolls. At the moment the only dolls there are Tinkerbell and EyePet but I expect there will be more dolls coming soon. I think that the sponsored dolls are for a promotion as there is a new EyePet game for PS3 and there is a new Tinkerbell film coming out.
